Yippee!

Posted by Jules on July 27, 2009

I brought home 4 new fishies today :D Rays gave me his 2 white halfmoons and 1 reddish pinkish purplish doubletail. And he just bought me a turqoise halfmoon ^^ All still babies, so can’t see the beautiful full bloom tails yet. Also I’m trying to heal their illnesses. Hope they all grow big and healthy like their big brothers (Goliath, Zeus, Ares) :D oh, man, I gotta name them! Hmmm… Photos coming soon!

Ps.. Dilemma now… Previously I was having problem about who’s gonna take care of the 2 fishies at home while I’m in Melbourne for 2 weeks next month. Intended to bring both to office then Ron can help me feed 3 of them. But now I have 6 at home =_=”’ I can’t possible have SEVEN fishes in the office! Boss will be like, WTH do you think this is, a pet hotel??? LOL XD

1.5 of good news, and 0.5 of bad news

Posted by Jules on July 25, 2009

Confusing title, right? :P Let me briefly explain then.

First, the half a good news. Mom goes to aunt’s place every Friday for a weekly sisters reunion, so it’s usually just me and Dad out for dinner. And more often than not, we have this heart-to-heart talks about my life (cause as daddy’s little girl, he always wants to know lol). So as I have predicted, he brought up the topic about Rays last night, and I saw it as an opening for me to describe and explain more that Rays is not what they perceive to be. And between that, I also tried to make him understand what’s on my mind and convince him to trust me at least if he doesn’t trust Rays. Long story short, he had his say and I understoof, and he also (luckily) understood what I meant. And he’s ok to let me have my time to get to know Rays, but keeping it low profile from Mom. Few months’ time, he said. If it feels wrong then don’t waste time, but it feels promising then bring him home to meet Mom. Sure, Dad O.o Thanks!

Next good news? Rays called me last night to happily tell me that after searching high and low in several shops in KL, PD and Seremban, he has finally found the rare white betta fishy that I always wanted! So excited :D Tonight hopefully, he’s gonna pass me my 2 new babies hehe. Yup, 2! I’m gonna keep one the healthier one at home and the other one in the office hehe. Other than these 2 male white halfmoon bettas, he also bought 1 female white halfmoon, 1 male blue crowntail, and 1 pink doubletail. Pink! So cute XD

Half of bad news. I might have to work through the weekend, starting today? Or tomorrow? But it’s not confirmed yet, still standing by. If we have to work, then I hope not today but tomorrow. I want to go home to take a nap today after work, then go out in the evening to buy new fish tanks, then meet my Huney for dinner and bring home my 2 little darlings :) Envisioning hard that I won’t receive any last minute calls!

edit: The half bad news became a half good news! Don’t need to work through this weekend, so I can proceed with what I planned to do :D Hooooowever… Not too sure about NEXT weekend though… Ah well… Win some, lose some!

Omg… I left the office at about 10pm today >.< I’m so tired! Alfred going off the HK tomorrow and we had some work to rush for him to bring over. Plus, there’s a presentation meeting scheduled for next week with a new customer (big project of the year!) so there’s a lot to prepare for. Like omg, semakin lemah semangat untuk kerja dah…

Rays bought several new betta fishes (why so many! XD). First 4 ‘brothers’ of blue-red halfmoon bettas. Then 2 giant bettas, red-white & blue-red, and 1 yellow-black veiltail. Haven’t thought of names for the 4 brothers yet, but the other 3 is named already. Blue-red is Optimus, red-white is Starscream, yellow-black is (of course) Bumblebee XD Cute, right? A fish named Bumblebee. Meanwhile, he’s still searching for a white fishy for me. I gotta standby a name for him hehe. Megatron?? Hahaha I don’t think so. Sephiroth? Who else has a white image? Please don’t say Saruman haha!

Ok, it’s been a loooooong day (hell yeah I worked for 12 hours!) and I gotta hit the showers to freshen up. TGIF fast approaching, what’s going on for this weekend? :D

Some Sunday this is…

Posted by Jules on July 20, 2009

I was so looking forward to today… Rays and I were supposed to go to PD today. He wanted to show me his shop, then take a walk on the beach during sunset. Then we were supposed to have crabs for dinner. Oh, and we were also supposed to check out an aquarium shop for new betta fishes too. He came to fetch me in the morning, but we did nothing of these. Bacause I was forced to go home after less than 2 hours outside, due to some drama happening at home…

Just a day of headspinning heartache for me. Rays heartaching, parents heartaching… What about me? I’m stuck in the middle, I suffer twice the heartache. Lost, what should I do? I don’t want to hurt either of them. I try my best to be a good daughter, but isn’t it supposed to be my own choice of who I want to be with? I understand there are some expectations to meet for a potential future partner, but I think they set that expectations level a bit too high! High educated, rich, handsome, gentleman, non-smoker, non-drinker, with all the 5 C’s. Do you know any good man like this? Please tell me. But then again, if my future partner is like this, then I would be worried all the time, wouldn’t I? Because being rich, handsome and gentleman, he is capable of cheating on me! Omg.

Then again, I also understand their concern. They only want the best for me. But the least I would expect them to do is give me (and him) a chance to prove that they judged too soon and assumed wrongly of him. While I understand what they must be feeling, I still think it’s pretty unfair for them to discriminate over this one small detail (his job). Won’t they find out more and know the fact that this is not “just” a job? Shouldn’t they find out first what he’s really capable of right now and for the future, despite the background and history he lacks? Not only is it discriminating, but it is also stereotyping. He is not like those roughneck mechanics! He is quiet and sensitive, and ambitious. Won’t they give us a chance to prove their too-early-judgement wrong?

Maybe you’re asking me now, “Why did I tell them about my boyfriend so soon into the relationship?”. Well, guess what, I didn’t. All I said was that I was going out with a new friend, a normal friend. Even that was forbidden. Now please don’t tell me that’s not discrimination? Can I please have the freedom and independence as an adult to make my own choices? Can my boyfriend have fair trial before the judge and jury decide? There should at least be some sort of a probation period, right?

In my midst of lost confusion between him and them, I had temporarily decided to end the relationship just to avoid conflict with my parents, ’cause I would hate to have to go through all that again as I did since the past 4 years. But I couldn’t do it… He loves me so much, and I think I love him too. Why does it have to end up this way after only 1 week together? What do I have to do? This is supposed to be just a simple love, but why must it become so complicated?

Bon Odori weekend

Posted by Jules on July 19, 2009

Last night was Bon Odori, and I went with Jo and Dennis. They were to pick me up at the Klang KTM station then we go together. I know, there are shuttle buses at Shah Alam station, but you must be crazy if you think that I’m gonna take the bus alone :P

Been sooooo long since I’ve taken public transport in KL. And I’m glad to be able to DRIVE myself around! I had forgotten the ugly truth about local commuters, omg. Firstly, I took the LRT to KL Sentral. I stood during the whole journey. Not that I mind standing, no big deal. But I observed around. The ladies, some with heavy baggage, are standing trying to keep their balance in the moving train; meeeeeanwhile, several young men are nicely seated comfortably, empty handed. Chivalry is soooooo dead =_= Or maybe it never existed in the first place.

Then I interchanged to KTM at Sentral. By then I felt moody already, cause it’s already a hot day to begin with, and the platform area had to be stuffy >.< And I had to wait for the slow train. And I was in a hurry. And tired. And stupid people squeezing to get into the train like a bunch of hurdled sheep going through the tight gate (perfect situation to molest). Please la! The train was bare and the crowd wasn’t THAT big. Common sense please, we could ALL get onboard without having to squeeze together =_= Sheez!! The heck with y’all mindlessness!

Aaaaanyway, reach the stadium in Shah Alam for Bon Odori. I have to say! The crowd definitely doubled this year, the stadium was so packed! Terrible, where all these people come from :S shared a green tea ice cream with Jo, yummy. But it melted too quickly and left a disgusting foamy green goo… Buang :P Opening ceremony, finally! Jo and I went to the field to start the cultural dance session. But it was so packed with photographers that nobody was starting to dance =_= Disappointed! How can this be! This defeats the purpose… Haih! Then we noticed and a group of people starting to dance. So we scooted from my initial standing spot to where they were, and joined in haha. Super sempit, but kinda fun :P

Then… nothing to do. We camwhored a bit with silly poses and lots of laughs. Oh, I bumped into Keng Pei! Haven’t seen him for years la, hello! XD then we got bored. And left early. Headed to SS15 Asia Cafe where Rays picked me up and we went for late dinner at Station1. Seriously, they call themselves the best western food? The food sucks so much that I don’t even know how to describe it. Nevermind lah, at least the company was good :) Times passes so quickly when you’re having a good time!

The beginning :)

Posted by Jules on July 13, 2009

This is a day to remember :) Truth be told, I was having mixed feelings because I was afraid of taking the wrong step again. My head VS my heart. I’m not sure who won, but I can’t deny that I do have feelings for him, and I do realise that this is happening so fast (again). But! Jules being the risk-taking, never-try-never-know, just-do-it Jules, I’m taking the dive in to find out what’s in the water. So, yeah. This is it. The start of something new :)

He’s so sweet! He started a blog about us ^^ So if you wanna kepoh on what’s going on, check it out @ http://raysandjules.wordpress.com

Good Sunday

Posted by Jules on July 13, 2009

Just came back not long ago from a first date with Rays. Suprisingly I had a good time. It was a good date after a while hehe :P

We went to Times Square. Had Starbucks for about an hour (yay I redeemed my free drink lol) before we adjurned to watch a movie. We kept changing seats in the cinema… Like 3 times! A bit complicated, lazy to explain :P Long story short, we were just kind enough to let a family sit together (cause it was so full that they couldn’t get 4 seats together and had to be separated). Ice Age 3 was (as the first and second movie) ridiculous but absolutely funny! Great for some laughs, I recommend it for young and old! After the movie, we went to Food&Tea for dinner. Food wasn’t that great, my rice was so dry =_= Note to self: Do not have rice again the next time I come here…

After that, we went around looking for some recreation. ie billiards :P I’m a pool player and he’s a snooker player. The pool tables in Times Square’s bowling centre are arcade tables. Too small, and in bad condition anyway. A snooker centre was recently opened, but only less than 10 tables and they were all occupied. So how? Decided to go all the way to my regular pool centre off Jalan Genting Klang. We spent about 2.5 hours playing pool! That’s about… 17, 18 games I think? Towards the end, we cheated on the scores a bit, but officially I think it was roughly… He won 11 to 7? Something like that. My loss was not too bad la! XD Skills were quite equal :P

Was about 11.20pm by the time we were done. Balik! What an enjoyable date after a hiatus :P

Ps, OMG I forgot to drop by Borders to look for Rolling Stone magazine with Adam Lambert on the cover >.< Argh!

Jai-Ho!

Posted by Jules on July 9, 2009

Nooo I did not just watch Slumdog Millionaire… :P

So went to street jam class today as usual. Our instructor Vivian walked in barefoot when we usually dance in sneakers or whatever shoes like that. In my mind, I was like, “ooookay… what’s going on?”. We did our usual warm up and all, and one round of last week’s 50cent hiphop choreography. Then she told us, “Take off your shoes!”. I’m like, haaaaahhhh?!

Yup! The song was Jai-Ho and we were dancing to some indian type of moves haha. Bollywood mania! XD omg that was some good shit workout for the thighs, wei! And super fast, my legs felt like they were gonna cramp up halfway through :P And blisters on my soles haha. Fun as heck, though I still mess it up here and there… A liiittle confusing towards the end. Practise practise practise!

Hola

Posted by Jules on July 5, 2009

Ok, I know that my last post was over a week ago. I’ve been so busy at work, you wouldn’t believe it. I even have to bring home some work to do! Been working nights at home, or else I won’t make the deadline on time. It’s a Sunday today and I’m at home, working. Not part time, mind you. This is work from my fulltime job! Sigh.

What’s been up other than work? Nothing much through the week. Yesterday spent some time with my girls. We watched Transformers2 at Summit USJ, then played pool at Asia Cafe. We were a little rushed for time, especially when the jam at USJ wasted too much of it…

Ok, I really don’t know what else to update already :P Til next time, readers! Thanks for still following my blog ^^
